I am a physician-scientist working on machine-learning methods for drug development. I practice as a resident physician in ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Mass General Brigham, and my research focus concerns applications of representation learning in drug repurposing and pharmacogenomics.
I completed an MD and PhD in Biomedical Informatics as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Stanford University, advised by Professor Russ Altman. My graduate work focused on the application of network-based machine learning to interpret high-throughput mutagenesis data. I also received an MPhil with distinction in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge as a Gates Cambridge Scholar and an AB summa cum laude from Harvard University, where I was a member of the varsity wrestling team. Previously, I worked at Leaps by Bayer and co-founded two open-source biomedical databases, the Vision Intelligence Network and the COVID-19 Protocol Database.
